We have been at Thrive since it opened. My children love school. We have found all the staff to be very approachable and easy to communicate with. We really like the presentation of learning and exhibitions. These give parents so much hands on information about what the students are learning. They also prepare the kids for real life skills they will need for their careers.

Both of my children (8th and 4th grades) attend Thrive. We left Coronado Public School for more economic, social, and cultural diversity. We also left for teachers that care, not about test results first but child development first. We have not been disappointed. The individuale time that our children have received by the teachers and staff at Thrive has had a positive immediate impact on their performance at home. Not only has their academic performance improved but, more importantly, their social interactions have improved. The teachers seem passionate about teaching. They are inspired and my children love their teachers. When I ask what they like about their reachers compared to their previous school, they respond that the teachers are more kind and caring.I'm and extremely grateful to Thrive and the fantastic people that support my children. Thank you Thrive!

A++++++ We couldn't be happier at Thrive!! We moved both kids to Thrive this year - so glad we did. Finally a place where teachers care about their students. I got a personal note from a teacher complimenting me on my son's behavior. It made my week and I am so proud of him. Thank you for taking the time!!!!! He loves his teachers and loves going to school there. I love HOW they teach and WAHT they teach. My older son has a social and academic mentor to help him reach his goals - how awesome is that? They setup a meeting with us as a family. Exactly what I was looking for when we chose Thrive. Also, my 13 year old son had no idea what he wanted to do or what college he wanted to go to...... in a short period of time he developed interest in computers engineering and picked a college he may want to go to. He seems more motivated now that he has a plan.... even if it might change again. Going to school for him has a bigger purpose now.

We had high expectations for this school. One morning, I was concerned about seeing children running out into the parking lot--not to mention being able to leave the classroom unnoticed--as there were openings in the gates. I volunteered to donate a fairly large sum to Thrive so they could invest in safety cameras and help raise the rest of the funds with another mother who shared my concerns. When we addressed our concerns to a staff member, along with our offer to help, he simply said they hadn't lost a student yet and dismissed the matter. Not even two weeks later, I saw a child bolt from the classroom straight into the parking lot, chasing after their parent. After a few horrendous experiences with a student terrorizing and physically harming my son and absolutely no action or resolution from Thrive, I knew we had to leave. Thrive placed the bullies before the victims, which speaks volumes about the type of culture and environment they foster. In spite of my child adoring his kindergarten teacher, he said that he did not want to go to school anymore and I didn't feel safe leaving him there any longer. I knew we had to find another school after many mornings of pleading with me to stay home. I want my child to enjoy school, not to fear it. His distress was painfully obvious; yet fortunately, once I placed him in a school that valued his inquisitive nature and desire to learn, he was able to flourish. He even told me that he was able to learn so much more at his new school and it made him "very happy". We went on the tour prior to the start of the year hoping that this would be a great experience, and it was a jarring disillusion.

Thrive has been an absolute blessing to my son and our family! At the beginning of the year my son was struggling and below grade level in a couple of areas. The teachers, staff, and us came up with a plan to get him back on track. His teachers and the staff worked with him, championed him, pushed him, and never gave up on getting him to where he needed to be. He absolutely loves Thrive and I am happy to say that at the end of the school year he was at, and in some areas, above grade level in all subjects. He has grown so much this year and it is very exciting for us to see this growth and change. He constantly looks forward to school, in fact he is counting down the days until school starts at the end of August. We love Thrive. He loves Thrive. My family can not begin to put into words how thankful we are for this school and everyone who works there.
