The previous critique is misleading. According to API reports, the graduation rate for 2013 was 86%. The general public schools in the area had a graduation rate of 89%-91%. This is slightly lower. However, the charter's academic diploma is set towards preparing students for college, so the extra requirements may deter some students who are less movitaved from graduating. The percentage of students at general public schools who had procidient or advanced skills in Language Arts and Math averaged 54%, except San Pasqual with an average 74%. The charter school had an average 76%. So, comparitively speaking, I fail to see how their curriculum rigor is less than the average local school. I would be more inclined to look at the data from the USC study if they included general public schools as well in order to compare schools of the same area. My experience with the charter system has been pretty positive at this point, and I'm happy to have my daughters in their system.

My son attends the ILP and it is a perfect fit for his learning style. He is self-motivated and persistent. He has flourished in this program for the last three years.
