We love Greenbrook! It's been a wonderful learning and growing experience for our kids and we'll miss it next year.

My son had a great experience at Greenbrook. His teachers taught him a lot, he learned how to manage himself, his friendships, and his work, in a very positive and encouraging environment. The students were respectful, kind, and good learners. It was an awesome experience to be at Greenbrook. My son attended from 2007-2013.

So far mostly so good. One teacher is a bit rigid for my tastes (quick to mark tardy, a little "snappy" etc), but my child is learning well, so I will not make a big deal when I know we will encounter many styles over the years. The school overall has a charm to it with active engaged parents. My criticism: there is too much emphasis on fundraising. I am a working parent. I am glad to donate to the school's nonprofit to pay for teacher aides, extras and pay the higher rate by choice. I don't want to be bombarded with all kinds of events, buy this & that, during the year. They should scale that back & focus more on just getting straight-up donations, which is way more efficient per hour of effort and direct the volunteer energy to the classroom, not running events. there's enough to think about to support our children, homework etc , I don't need a bunch of extra stuff to buy or attend! Have mercy please!

School is tucked in a very nice community. Feels that you are in very safe neighborhood. The after school program, Kids Country is very good. The new principal seems to be on top of things. Don't like : I really don't like the school environment when it comes to diversity. At one point, the school has a big banner that they value diversity. That said, I really feel that kids over there are not really exposed to this - and not just the kids. It's one thing to say it but another thing to see if they really have it. I can see that it's not in the school's culture. During my son's first day, the teacher paired him to another asian which I thought was very odd. I also never felt that their teachers are sincerely engaged with us. Even though we had the option to stay in this school, we decided to move to our home school in San Ramon. What a difference. Teachers are very, very engaged and has a good mix of diverse cultures, backgrounds and languages.

Snobby clique school ....ridiculous . Parents are very competitive and bullying goes on. We moved here from Central Valley for the school but this is worse than many schools in the Valley. Principal leadership is missing. This is a school for you if you own a fancy car and want to spend your working hours volunteering for the school.
