I am a former student at BHS (Class of 1990). My two eldest children graduated from BHS (Class of 2010, and 2012) and they had nothing but the best experiences. People should understand that schools cannot stand alone especially with the economic crisis that our schools are going through. It takes a village to raise a child and some parents want to leave all the responsibility to the teachers. Motivate your children and teach them respect. Attend your school meetings and make the administration aware of problems and offer to help. You wanted to have children do your part! Treat your children well, teach them values, morals, importance of education and you will see that the majority of situations is not the school, it's you. Bellflower High has come a long way due to Mr. Perry who genuinely cares. I have an 8th grader at the moment who does exceptionally well. All of them have attended Bellflower Schools and the first two are currently attending universities. Go Bucs!

I attended Bellflower High School/Middle school from 2001-2007, when I graduated. This quality of education, and the quality of teachers that I had during my time at this school were great. If i could turn back time, I would, just to experience it all over again.

Wow! No recent updates? Scary! My daughter will be attending BMS from West Middle School! What kind of teacher will she encounter? People that only do their job? What kind of staff will I encounter as a parent? I am very concern! What about the curriculum?mmmm. My daughter is honor roll student and looking forward to continue in it. and its thanks to dedicated, kind and pleasant teachers that teach well, encourage, respect, welcomes students with a smile on their face with no yelling and always looking forwards to help the student. Counselors are great as well as the principal!

Most of these reviews are outdated. The input is useful, however, it does not serve the purpose of expressing what type of school Bellflower is NOW. For the past few years, Bellflower has really bloomed into an above average institution. This progress is because of Mr. Perry's, principal of Bellflower High, outstanding leadership and determination to provide students with educated teachers who actually care about our education. I'm currently a junior attending Bellflower, and I must say, we are really upping the ante this year. A student from BHS can go to UCLA, Stanford, CalTech, UC Berkeley, etc. if he tries hard enough. So please, don't look to those reviews that are old and ABSOLUTELY DO NOT REFLECT the school that Bellflower is now.
