Queen Creek Middle School Ratings & Reviews

The teachers at this school seem highly stressed. Most of them are teaching three or four subject levels. This takes considerable amounts of time to prepare. It is literally impossible for a teacher in a middle school or high school to prepare as well for three subject levels as it is for them to prepare for one subject level. Most schools in the area have teacher who are only teaching one or two subject levels. In addition, most of the books there are very old and do not meet today's standards. Most schools in the area have online textbooks that meet today's standards; not so with QCMS. In addition, the school has eight periods of classes per day where the average is six. This gives children significantly less time between classes and in classes so they have much less time to learn the same material (class times are 50 minutes where the average is close to an hour; this adds up!). I would not send my children to this school.

QCMS IS AWESOME - WE LOVE IT HERE AND THE DISTRICT ! If you have a problem or a concern the teachers will listen to you has a parent and try to come up with a answer to help your student. There are so many extra things the school offers like cooking classes and choir and Jazz Band is starting - Rugby and Archery

QCMS ROCKS! This 5th grade year has been a wonderful experience. It's been great to see the teacher's and Admin work together with the PTO to accomplish so many things for the students. In addition, I am impressed by the quality of education my child is receiving and look forward to another fantastic year.

I am very happy with this school and the challenges my 11 year old is getting!

So disappointed in this school. Have had a wonderful K-4 experience in this district. They fail miserably at the 5-6 level. There are many 5th grade classes 10+. It is a nightmare. Does NOT have the elementary feel to it that they claim to want. Do the teachers care? Some of them do. Administrators? Yes, I think so, but it doesn't matter if the school doesn't have happy students! Is learning fun here? Nope. Field trips? Only if you are ELP...otherwise you aren't going anywhere. Unless you count the QC PAC... The truth is, this district just can't compete. They do care about the SCORES they get and are proud of that. Ask the kids if they are happy...have THEM rate their teachers and school and have them do it at the end of the year. We are done with this school, it just doesn't work. 5 and 6 belong in the elementary school...not in the chaos of the districts poor solution to a problem that didn't even exist to begin with.
