My daughter has attended Paideia since kinder and I absolutely loved having her there.. Until recently. K-2 the school was ran by Dr. Winsor. He's the greatest man you will ever meet and I adore him (in a non weird way of course) He was exceptional with the kids, every morning you knew when you dropped your scholars (not students, but scholars) off at school he would be there by the gate ready to help them get out of their vehicles (for the younger students he would open the door, help them out and hold their hand as they crossed the little strip of parking lot) and give EVERY scholar a handshake and a smile before they walked through the gates. Cold outside? He's there. Raining? Yup, you guessed it, still there. At parent pickup after class was out he was in the parking lot helping children into their vehicles and trying to make it go as smoothly as possible. The rare occasion we get rain? The staff and Dr, Winsor himself went to and from the cafegymnasium bringing kids to their parents vehicles under an umbrella. 110 outside? He was out there with the kids the whole time. He personally knew the students and their families and made us feel like we were family. The school itself is super big on the 7 habits (be proactive, begin with the end in mind, put first things first, think win win, seek first to understand and then to be understood, synergize, and last but not least, sharpen the saw) If you don't know what each of those are I highly recommend checking out the website where they explain it. Have you ever had your 5 year old lecture you on being proactive as you pretend "argue" with their Father? I have! My daughter incorporates every aspect of it into her day to day life and encourages the rest of the family to do so as well. 2 months into her first year there she was already reading books to us. Her spelling is off the charts. She enjoyed going to school and would get upset when it was the weekend. Alright alright, so you're probably like wow, you're raving about this school so hard, why did you give it 3 stars?Well. This year they received a new principal as Dr. Winsor is focusing on getting the high school prepared for when the 8th graders graduate. Mr. Perez doesn't feel welcoming. He doesn't try to bond. Scores are going down. The classwork is a joke. We will be switching schools next year if nothing changes.

My daughter has attended Paideia since kinder. She is my oldest and I was really nervous for her to go to school but the Paideia staff made it easy for me to feel comfortable and at peace while my daughter was in school. I loved that the kinder teachers had class dojo so I could check up on her. Dr. Windsor has always participated in the events and he comes out every morning and afternoon to help with the children coming into school & leaving. He knows most (maybe all) students by name. He even remembers the family members names! I am excited for my son to start at Paideia next year.

STUDENT my experience with THIS SCHOOL WAS THE WORST SCHOOL EVER I started at this school as a 6th grader and I began the year pretty smart in all subjects I do not get in trouble and tend to do good and this school is the worst I have ever been to the kids are so disrespectful and rude to the teachers in class students would put there feet on there desks and leave them there and play on there phones with headphones and all have the schools wifi and yell and scream at the teachers it is terrible this school also is discriminating and my 6th grade teacher with a military backround quit due to the amount of disrespect and the lack of no direction from the principal and the only time kids would be quite was when the principal walked in I have learned nothing in this school and luckily switched schools I would like to say the school looks awesome from a parents view with a cool looking campus and when you go to events like leadership day IT IS ALL A SHOW kids never behave like that and due it in fear of the principal PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE

Never before have I seen a Leadership model that was consistent and made each child feel important. Leaders are made and those skills must be cultivated daily!

I loved the principal upon meeting him repeatedly before putting my children in this school. What happened once we were there was a completely different story. The concept they speak of is ideal however the execution is not. Yes teachers are trained & smothered. Team mates do not work well & admin doesn't do much for those needing or on IEP's or 504s. I pulled my children and moved out of the area due to bullying and a teacher walkout after a month of school. Paideia could be great but it's just not there, not sure it will ever. I'm sorry but I have to be honest.
