My kids have attended Legacy for four years now and I could not be happier with it. The teachers, aides, principals, and staff go above and beyond for the students. My children have participated in many activities including the musical program, science fair, and many others. My kids are thriving and anywhere they do need help the teachers immediately step in and do what is needed. The principals are always there for any concerns of mine or the kids, and address them correctly and efficiently. I understand Legacy's accelerated program is not for all students, but as for mine they are thriving. Thank You Legacy Maricopa for loving and teaching my kids!

I have personal experience that the principal of this school is not always truthful. She plays favorites and caves in to the loudest complainers/bullies. She fails to discipline consistently and has failed to investigate thoroughly on things brought to her attention. This school has some great teachers but is being held back by its lack of leadership.

LTS Maricopa is a fantastic school with devoted teachers. I appreciate that teachers & staff take the time to address the children by name & set a wonderful example of character, compassion & professionalism. Teachers even send home notes/emails to praise student behavior & performance, not just when there's an issue. I'm grateful to have such wonderful people teaching my child.

My children have been at this school since kindergarten. They do very well here. They need to be challenged and Legacy does that for them.

Overall I really disliked this school. I'm not sure if the Spalding and Saxon methods themselves have a lot to do with it or if maybe this schools particular approach is flawed, but it absolutely did not work for my children. The previous charter school they were attending was actually a year ahead of Legacy in its curriculum and my kids were flourishing. My daughter went from successfully doing double digit multiplication and division in second grade to struggling with addition and subtraction in third at this school. When it comes to math, the children are heavily graded on speed rather than actual ability. Also, the grading system is so heavily flawed that your child could have a poor grade on one big assignment (because they weren't sure what to do and didn't want to ask bc their grade is penalized when they do) and get perfect scores on the remaining assignments and still BARELY make a grade above failing. Also, some of the front office staff is extremely rude. I returned a call SEVEN minutes after receiving it and was scolded both on the phone and in person over it. Really though, if you're in Maricopa this school is your only option. The others are worse. We sold our house just so that we could move closer to a school in a better district.
