This is the fourth year for this school. There are no teachers from the first or second years still teaching here, and only a few of the third year teachers stayed on for this year. Since July, 5 more teachers have left or been fired. The Tucson school has also demonstrated serious inability to retain teachers. Most of these teachers were effective, caring, and hard working, and many are teaching successfully again, but some talented educators have quit education. Teaching here was devastating. We didn't know who would be next, or when we would fall from grace, or how to help one another. The owner of the school writes rosy reports, consistently fires fall guys, and has teachers (who need their jobs) tell parents that things are okay. They aren't okay. write reassuring letters to their students' parents.

I am the parent spearheading the current concerns at this school. I am doing so after my daughters teacher abruptly left last week. Before meeting with the administrator for what seemed to be an emergency meeting with parents the day the teacher resigned, I reached out to the community on their thoughts of the school since I had heard some negative things but hadn't taken them seriously until this time. What I heard from the community, parents and former employees of the school combined, made me realize that there is a disturbing problem with the school and it all comes done to the administrator. I have no issues with staff, teachers, curriculum, or the school in general. I have not reached out to any parents at the school other than those who attended the meeting, nor I have encouraged anyone to make negative statements. I love the concept of the school, love the teachers and curriculum, love the smaller classes, and in no way want to see this school close. However, something needs to change in order for this school to become the one it claims to be. Even as of yesterday people are still extending their thoughts via FB and Private messages and express support for positive change.

I was called last week by a second grade parent asking me to comment on the offish manner of the office manager at this school and on the charter holder. I was asked to make negative remarks on several blogs including this one. This is not how I feel. The office manager does her work perfectly and she is never offish . She talks to parents, helps with supplies, answers phones and is good at her job. The charter holder does her job of reviewing student work, planning curriculum, making sure the state standards are being taught by our teachers and much more. Now for the teachers. They are the best people ever. The whole school works very well together, each person doing their part to make sure my child and all the children enrolled get a superior education. I am very happy that class sizes are small. I believe this small group of parents are very wrong in calling other parents and asking them to post negative things on great schools and other sites that are absolutely not true. Unless, like this parent said, he wants the class sizes very small for his child. Interesting! Never once did he say he wanted to move his child to another school. This school is fantastic always!

The post from September 28, 2014 is totally false. The second grade teacher just walked off her job with just five days left before break. So she didn't want to be responsible for report cards? Do you think this false post of September 28, 2014 could be from such a high class act as the second grade teacher who just walked off the job? This post of September 28, 2014 is not a true statement in any way. The principal is a wonderful lady and the office manager is also. They both pulled together for our kids for the last five days before fall break. Teachers did too. Parents, teachers and anyone who works around the charter founder says she is very well respected and a fantastic, creative leader and can teach math in a marvelous way. They all love her! Same thing when you ask about the office lady, wonderful. Same thing when you ask about the teachers, the curriculum, the music teacher. The school is great! I know parents would like the principal to be in Sahuarita location permanently but the school is too small for that so she is shared with another school. An A ranked charter school because the students enrolled at this school learn a lot of material in class every day.

It sounds to me that the last comment was written by someone who worked there last year or the year before. One reason is how would they know about teacher bonuses or pay. They obviously have not been to the school lately. There is a new dynamic since they got rid of all the bad teachers. The school is full and the students are learning. They have the best teachers. My daughter is a 1st grader there and I am extremely happy with her teacher and the progress she has made. They have a wonderful office manager that makes sure we parents are happy. Last year the teachers we so negitive and now you see the happy environment. I would recommend this school to anyone.
