the school is horrible. All this talk of some teachers dating other teachers is sickening. There are many good teachers such as Messier, Peoples, Anderson, and Baruch to name a few. There are also some teachers who don't bother to TEACH at all. The school doesn't believe in self defense, and with all the fights that happen, they need to allow instead of letting bullying happen as it does. Some of the teacher make fun of the students, when they should be encouraging their students to listen. Some of the teachers don't know what they are doing. All the kids do is listen to teachers complain about how much they make, or about how the kids are all failing. One teacher stated that more than half of the advanced enrichment class was below failing, while there were only five people failing with thirty people in the class. Best believe that the class was so bad that by the end of the year, there were only twenty- three kids in the class. That class was messing up everyone's straight A or A-B honor roll. Some of the teachers yell when a student asks a question. The teacher screams like the student should already know when they probably haven't even learned it. NO ONE DESERVES THIS AT ALL !!!

Odenville Middle School needs all the help it can get! The principal is terrible. She is NEVER available! They want to preach parent involvement but she doesn't want to hear from a parent. They have several great teachers but unfortunately the good doesnt outweigh the bad in this case. Except for the select few teachers that actuslly care about the kids and actually TEACH, they need to clean house starting at the top. Teachers bullying kids, teachers playing on their phones allday instead of teaching. They are suppose to be teaching and preparing our children for the next grade but unfortunately some of them dont! Then the burden falls on the actual teachers that care to catch them up. And god forbid if your child misses a day. They will get a zero in most classes and not be allowed to make up work even though that is against school board policy. Hats off to the good teachers: Baruch, Anderson, Messier, Easterwood, Gunn and a few more for really teaching our kids!

Very poor leadership at this school. There is a lack of education among the leaders regarding bullying and signs of it. I feel that there was a lack of care in general to investigate. I'm very concerned about the safety of the students at this school. Video footage is available in certain areas of the school and when viewed by the leaders it has been disregarded. What are our students to do when bullying persists, are taught not to fight back, and the tenured leadership doesn't appear to care.
