Building Maintenance

The entries are worn and floors need to be replaced, like cement. The walls need painting in the whole building with a color scheme. It can be embarrasing to bring guests in. I love my apartment but not until I get into my apartment

Great Location

Gaar Scott is in a great location with plenty to offer around the neighborhood. The apartments themselves have a great feel to them and the central air works wonderfully. They do not really offer much regarding amenities nor are the floors and halls consistently kept clean.

Great apartments

Best neighborhood, great neighbors and huge apartments make Gaar Scott Historic Lofts a great place to live. I've been living here for a couple years and couldn't imagine living any where else in the Twin Cities. I get around by biking so close groceries and other amenities are another huge plus. There are 5 grocery stores all within 2 miles of my apartment and the Mississippi River is a half block away along with the bike/ walking path.

The best thing about living in the Gaar Scott building is where its located, close to great restaurants and cute shops and the Mississippi just out your back door. As for the building and management. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors all around you. There are NO amenities or storage, parking is limited. It takes management a while to get back to you about things and you are charged for everything little thing where it was included in your rent before they took over.
