Corydon School Senior Lofts

I love CORYDON ! My husband and I moved here from Columbus,Indiana-in 2021 He passed away in Jan-of 2022. it was heartbreaking-and we were all devastated. He had just lost his older brother in October of 2021. We moved here in November.My husband’s Great Great Grandfather lived here in Corydon in the 1800’s he was so excited to move here. We were into Geneology and we found out so much about the Vetter side of the Family with the help of the Library here. I made some wonderful friends quickly . I’m so glad I have them. II am familiar with all the towns and cities around here,I grew up in Floyds Knobs, In. My children are very near now, if I need anything they are here. They live in Georgetown, Floyd Knobs, and Charlestown. I get to see my Grandchildren and my 2 Great Grandchildren a lot more often now, and I am very happy about that! The YMCA-is very close. There are so many things for Seniors to do here. It is beautiful country. I enjoy going to the Senior Center sometimes twice a week, Our meals are $3.00. We have entertainment there also like Bingo games . We celebrate our Birthdays too. Everyone is important. You will love the workers there too. My friends and I entertain with music, We bring out the guitars,tamborines and everyone joins in.(music you request …..we will try to sing it)….Karaoke here at the Apartments too, and for those who love the VFW , it is very close and there is Karaoke-on Saturday evening. We also have games like Aggravation along with Bunco on game nights on Tuesday and Friday. Our residents love it. We hope others will come out and join the fun. We also have Bible study on Monday,( we have just started this ) We have interdenominational services on Tuesdays where we have worship service . Come join us. We believe in having fun and not being conformed to a “ROCKING CHAIR yet”! Get out and be ACTIVE! you can do it at “The Lofts” here in Corydon! Enjoy life like God intended.

This would be a wonderful place to be if it were not for the noise that comes from the gym whenever there is a function. Because of the gym’s acoustics the noise level is extremely loud and can be heard in my apartment with the door closed, television on and washer and dryer going. Also I am not the only one that feels this way.
