The national average rent in November dropped to $1,473, despite an annual increase of 3.1% ($44). Given that people move less during this time of year, the $3 monthly drop is not unexpected.<\/p>\n<h3>Renting in Nebraska in November 2019<\/h3>\n<p>The average rent in Nebraska cities is <strong>lower\u00a0than the national average rent<\/strong>. The fastest growing rents in November were in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rentcafe.com\/apartments-for-rent\/bellevue-ne\/\">Bellevue<\/a>, where rental apartment\u00a0prices increased by 4.4% year over year, or $45. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rentcafe.com\/apartments-for-rent\/omaha-ne\/\">Omaha apartments<\/a>\u00a0saw the second highest annual increase, 3.4%, making the average rate $31 higher than last year. The slowest rising rents were in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rentcafe.com\/apartments-for-rent\/papillion-ne\/\">Papillion<\/a>, where prices increased by 1.6% ($15) since November last year.<\/p>\n<p><script id=\"infogram_0_07591ed2-fad1-4ba6-92e7-3def9a8c625c\" title=\"RentCafe_Nebraska-RentReport_November2019\" src=\"https:\/\/e.infogram.com\/js\/dist\/embed.js?FJU\" type=\"text\/javascript\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><strong>Bellevue apartments<\/strong>\u00a0are the state&#8217;s most expensive for renters, with an average rent of $1,073, followed by apartments in <strong>Lincoln<\/strong>, where the average monthly rent is $980. On the other hand, the cheapest places to rent an apartment of the cities analyzed is <strong>Papillion<\/strong>, with an average apartment rent of $932.<\/p>\n<h3>Methodology<\/h3>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rentcafe.com\/\">RentCafe.com<\/a>\u00a0is a nationwide apartment search website that enables renters to easily find apartments and houses for rent throughout the United States.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The data on average rents included in our reports comes directly from competitively-rented (market-rate) large-scale multifamily properties (50+ units in size), via telephone survey. The data is compiled and reported by our sister company <\/em><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yardimatrix.com\/\">Yardi Matrix<\/a><\/em><em>, a business development and asset management tool for brokers, sponsors, banks and equity sources underwriting investments in the multifamily, office, industrial and self-storage sectors. Fully-affordable properties are not included in the survey and are not reported in rental rate averages.
