The railroad chose Kansas City and the \u201cCrossroads of the Country\u201d hasn\u2019t stopped growing since.<\/p>\n<p>They say Kansas City has more fountains than any city in the world outside of Rome, Italy. That may or may not be true but we have turned on the spigots to Google Street View to see <strong>the newest buildings<\/strong> those fountains are illuminating on the streets of Missouri\u2019s largest city.<\/p>\n<p><em>Simply drag the arrow bar back-and-forth to view the old and the new images.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>1. Hotel Sorella Country Club Plaza, Plaza Vista &#8211; Plaza Area<\/h2>\n<p>Year built: 2013<\/p>\n<p>Tucked into Country Club Plaza, one of the Midwest\u2019s premier shopping and dining destinations, the seven-story <strong>Sorella hotel<\/strong> mimics the Spanish-flavored elegance of its location. Guests enjoy mini-bars and flat screen televisions in the 132 rooms after an evening lounging by the fire pits and cabanas on the expansive pool terrace. Right nearby, the <strong>Plaza Vista<\/strong> complex at 900 West 48th Place spans 10 floors, featuring 235,000 square feet of premier office space. It includes an integrated 940-space parking structure.<\/p>\n<p>Eight years in the making, the HQs of the 41-year old Polsinelli law firm was designed by 360 architecture and built by VanTrust Real Estate, now housing the law firm&#8217;s 450 employees. JE Dunn Construction Company Corporate Headquarters &#8211; Downtown<\/h2>\n<p>Year built: 2009<\/p>\n<p><strong>JE Dunn<\/strong> provided a model for 21st century construction practices with its own headquarters at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.propertyshark.com\/mason\/Property\/127718502\/1001-Locust-St-Kansas-City-MO-64106\/\" target=\"_blank\">1001 Locust Street<\/a>. Only materials extracted, processed, and manufactured within 500 miles of Kansas City were used to fabricate the sleek glass-faced office building.
