1. The Railyard District<\/h3>\n

One block from the Austin Convention Center, the Hyatt Hotels Corp. and White Lodging Services Corp. revitalized the Railyard District with the introduction of the 17-story Hyatt Place<\/strong>, the largest new build Hyatt Place in the country. It boasts 296 guest rooms and offers amenities typically expected only in full-service hotels.<\/p>\n

Across the street, Whitley Apartments<\/strong>, completed in 2012, mirrors its neighbor at 16 stories high. Located at 301 Brazos St<\/a>, this 266-unit, luxury, smoke-free building is Silver LEED Certified and includes surprising amenities such as a serene waterfall and an urban oasis rooftop pool deck. Whitley stands atop 10,000ft of eclectic retail space.<\/p>\n

The \u201cMain Street of Texas\u201d, Congress Avenue, welcomed the tallest building in Austin, also the tallest residential tower west of the Mississippi – The Austonian<\/strong>. Completed in 2011, the LEED-certified, 36-floor W Austin Hotel & Residences<\/strong> at 200 Lavaca Street is a mixed-use building home to The Residences, W Hotel, and Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theatre. 6. Gables Complex, Sandra Muraida Way<\/h3>\n

This two part LEED Silver-Certified boutique-style community developed by Gables Residential includes the 8-story Gables Park Plaza<\/strong> finished in 2013 and Gables Park Tower<\/strong> finished in late 2014.
