Set aside periodically those items that no longer serve you or bring you happiness so you can sell them while their value is still close to how much you paid for them. This is so much easier than going through those things long after they\u2019ve lost their value.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reduce impulse buying. <\/strong>Minimalists are big on being intentional. Taking the time to understand if you need \u00a0something before committing to the purchase will leave you with more money in your pocket for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rentcafe.com\/cost-of-living-calculator\/\">rent, bills or other expenses<\/a>. It can be as simple as leaving that pair of shoes that got your attention on your wish list for a bit. More often than not, you will change your mind about it after a few days. But, if you\u2019re just as eager to buy the shoes a while later, then you\u2019re looking at something that really is worth your money.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Move homes faster, easier, and cheaper<\/strong>. Keeping as many items as you use in your daily activities saves you time while packing and unpacking. Plus, you don\u2019t need to spend extra money on transportation only to bring with you a lot of stuff you will never even use.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a0No need to pay for extra storage. <\/strong>It\u2019s far less likely for you to not be able to fit all your belongings in your rental and need extra space if everything you own has a purpose. So, you can save the money you would have spent on renting a storage unit.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a0Make your place feel more spacious. <\/strong>Keeping the visible surfaces free of clutter makes the home feel neat and more spacious. Also, given that minimalism saves you a lot of unnecessary spending, you will build up the funds to invest in high-quality, multi-purpose items that will save you even more space.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Always be guest-ready. <\/strong>Having fewer things in your home means there\u2019s less stuff to clean and rearrange. To that point, it will only take you a few minutes to get everything in your apartment in place when unexpected guests happen to show up.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Find things easier.<\/strong> While in a rush, the last thing you need is to have to remember where you left your car keys or phone charger you need at that very moment.
