Lindbergh \u2013 Morosgo is a neighborhood within Buckhead where retail and businesses line the streets. A freight railroad line stretches across the northwest boundary. You’ll find Buckhead neighborhoods of Peachtree Hills and Garden Hills on the other side of the tracks. Georgia 400 and the Pine Hills neighborhood lies on the east. I-85 and Peachtree Creek run along the southeast, and Armour Industrial stretches along the southwest border.<\/p>\n

History<\/h3>\n

Lindbergh \u2013 Morosgo was once home to Mooney’s lake that was developed into a recreation center in the 1920s. Locals came to cool off with a swim, a horseback ride through the grounds or a relaxing picnic on the lawns. The on-site pavilion eventually burned down, and a few years later, the lake was drained by eager developers.<\/p>\n

By the 1960s, the area featured dozens of retail stores and landed on the map for music lovers. BB King, the Sex Pistols and other musical giants played at the now-closed Great Southeast Music Hall. Today, the area has grown into an epicenter for retail, office space and residences with mixed-use space.<\/p>\n

Lindbergh \u2013 Morosgo is situated in the heart of Buckhead and is a quick drive to the rest of Atlanta. Renters come for the amenities and access to public transportation, which can be hit or miss around the city. The proximity to Georgia 400 and I-85 also makes the Lindbergh \u2013 Morosgo neighborhood a desirable area to connect to anywhere you want to go.<\/p>\n

Depending on where you live, Lindbergh \u2013 Morosgo can be walkable. Choose a mix-use apartment complex to walk downstairs and start browsing the shops or grab a bite to eat. Walking to the rest of Lindbergh \u2013 Morosgo is possible, but a rideshare is never far away from pubs, nightclubs and dining for an evening out.<\/p>\n

What to Do<\/strong><\/p>\n

Retail is one of the main draws for living in Lindbergh \u2013 Morosgo, with Lindbergh Plaza supplying all your day-to-day needs. Locals shop at the plaza for Target and Best Buy, salons, eateries and services like dry cleaners.<\/p>\n

For an upscale shopping experience, Lenox Square is just a short drive or walk away. Phipps Plaza is situated just across the street for even more luxury shopping options. The Shops at Miami Circle are also a contender for your shopping budget with antiques, chandeliers, fine art and decor.<\/p>\n

Bowling is a popular pastime in Lindbergh-Morosgo if you go to the Painted Pin. The upscale boutique bar features an entertainment venue in an industrial warehouse space. You can bowl the night away or try your hand at table shuffleboard, skeeball or giant Jenga. Stay for snacks and drinks with friends and lounge on the plush couches.<\/p>\n

Lindbergh \u2013 Morosgo is also never far from a movie theater showing the latest blockbusters. AMC Phipps Plaza offers an upscale feel, or you can go to the nearby AMC Dine-in nearby where you can order up food and eat it while watching your movie. Pick chairs adjacent to tables to spread-out and eat with great views of the screen.<\/p>\n

Green space isn’t exactly plentiful around Lindbergh \u2013 Morosgo, but you can go for a jog or take a stroll along Peachtree Park Nature Trail. You’re also not far from Chastain Park, one of Atlanta’s premier destinations with a playground, an outdoor amphitheater, golf course, pool and horse park stretching across 268-acres. Or make the short drive to Midtown’s Piedmont Park and the tucked away trails and green spaces scattered throughout nearby neighborhoods.<\/p>\n

Where to Eat & Drink<\/strong><\/p>\n

Living in Lindbergh \u2013 Morosgo puts you in proximity to Buckhead dining with stand-outs like Aria. For something directly in your neighborhood, try The Boiler Seafood Atlanta for seafood dishes and drinks or watch football at Taco Mac Lindbergh. Creole-style fare is always a favorite at Vision Restaurant & Lounge. Take in the views from floor-to-ceiling windows at Il Bacio Pizzeria & Trattoria for pasta and gelato or the Tin Drum Asian Kitchen for Pan-Asian fare, curries and noodles with a twist.<\/p>\n
