Movies in Central Park kick off May 3rd.
One of the city’s most fun film viewing experiences begin on May 3, 2012. Movies in Atlantic Station’s Central Park is back and better than before with a new offering of cult classics, blockbusters and everything in between.
Make a day of it! Get your shopping done at Atlantic Station, grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants, go for a round of bowling, and then end the night with free movie in the park. Warm summer evenings are perfect for amphitheater-style movie viewings. Shorts, flip flops, and a blanket for sitting are all that you need to enjoy the night, although a picnic dinner and snacks wouldn’t hurt, either.

Not everyone expects the same thing out of a moving viewing experience. To make sure that you have the most pleasant time possible, keep these tidbits in mind.
- This may not be the ideal venue if it’s your first time seeing a movie. People will likely be talking, moving, and maybe even quoting the film as you watch it.
- If you do not like children, avoid attending the animated features or anything remotely child-oriented.
- Wear bug repellent and bring a personal fan. This is Atlanta after all.
