Students, Take Note!—Find Rental Apartments around Your University Campus

Are you a college student on your summer break? First of all, good for you! Make the most of what’s left of it! Secondly, we want to let you know that our envy of you is tearing us apart we thought of you this summer. Yes, while we’re sure you haven’t really been thinking all that much about RentCafe lately, we thought about you a lot. About time you started feeling guilty….
Not to burst your bubble or anything, but the next academic year is just around the corner, so while you were busy following your summer agenda, RENTCafé launched a brand new feature—for none other, but you! If you want to start with a clean sheet and move off-campus—or ditch the old apartment for a new one—you’ll find it very helpful. It’s really easy to use.
Here’s this handy little map—click on the state your campus is located in:
Then, select your university from the list, and feast your eyes. If you’re a UCLA student for example, you should see something similar to this:
To remain with this example, California students currently have 645 apartment communities to choose from within a 10-mile radius of the UCLA campus.
If you study on Northwestern, choose Illinois on the map and select ‘Apartments near Northwestern University.’
As you can see, here you have 346 communities within 10 miles of the campus. The process is the same for Washington, D.C. if you attend Georgetown, Massachusetts if you’re a Harvard or MIT student, and so on…
These results include pretty much all listings that might be of interest to you, but you can narrow your search by a number of factors, such as the amount of rent you are willing to pay, preferred property type, number of bedrooms and a lot more. If you want to go for a specific neighborhood, search in a smaller or larger radius, or just want to zoom in and roam around on the map, use the “Search Mode” dropdown in the upper right corner of the map.
That’s it! Simple, right? All that’s left is to find the perfect apartment and apply for a lease, before somebody else beats you to it. So hurry up, make the necessary arrangements and get back to having the time of your life!
Class dismissed!
