It's ok, if you don't mind the issues.

I've been at Springhouse for over 2+years, never had any issues until the new management company took over in at the end of 2019. There are 4 different numbers to call and no one picks up the lines, especially during the weekends, but if you drive past you can see through the office doors, that the leasing agent looking down at their cell phones. Plus many of the street lights are out, because no one from the office team rides the property at night to check on things like that for the security and comfort of the residents, so its very dark in certain spots. If you choose to walk around the property, be careful. The back of the property has been a dumping ground. My ac/heating unit is old, so a/c isn't cold and my heat isn't warm, meaning the renovations(which are nice) are happening on the inside of units only, so you'll have to be content with a old ac/heat unit because that's not changing. I have had periodic plumbing issues. Never seen pest control ever, but we pay for it monthly. It floods horribly on the property after a torrential down pour. Then, its so many cars that need to be towed, which take up parking spaces for resident who would actually like to park near their unit. I like it here, but I don't think I'm renewing my lease due to the ongoing issues.

After 18 years, looking into other options

I've lived here for 18 years, and have seen MANY property management companies come and go, but not yet this one... to my chagrin. They demand prompt attention to their concerns, while leaving residents on hold waiting for our issues to be resolved, even though it's our rent that pays the salaries of those working for the residents. In all the time that I've been here, I've had a total of 3 appliances updated - the fridge, stove, and dishwasher. Nothing else has been done aside from necessary repairs, and those only after repeated calls to the office to get them started, calls to find out why jobs are delayed in completion, and more calls to find out when they'll actually be completed, and sometimes even that isn't enough. Yet, regardless of consideration for anyone's disability, whether temporary or permanent, no consideration or time is given to residents when we're asked to do something - the rental office expects them to be done in 3 business days, when residents don't have the courtesy of expecting the same consideration. Now, after all of the time I've lived here, my parents - who I encouraged to move here less than 2 years ago - received a new lease increasing their rent by, as it turns out, a single dollar per month, while my own lease renewal paperwork shows an increase of ninety-one dollars. I guess living here for nearly two decades counts for nothing with lease rentals. Perhaps I'd get better renewal rates and more satisfaction living elsewhere...

Needs improvement

Maintenance issues take too many contracts to resolve, if they get resolved at all. Have had nothing but problems since the first day we moved in. Arrived to a broken dishwasher with stagnant, stinking water in it, pipes that seem to break more than they work so that toilet backs up and overflows often, and an upstairs neighbor whose jumping child and heavy footfalls have made cracks in the plaster throughout our apartment. Paying rent is made very difficult if you don't use online payment options. Lots of room for improvement overall.
