How is so much noise?

I've lived here for some time now. The location is excellent, the layout of the complex great, moderately clean upon move-in (carpet and appliances permanently stained), and incredibly helpful staff. They are brilliant! But the N.O.I.S.E. is incredible. They must have built these apartments out of nothing but particleboard. Do NOT let the poured concrete in the hallways fool you. It does not carry into the flats. The noise both above and below me is incredible. Not only can I hear my upstairs neighbors alarm in the morning, but I can also listen to them carrying a CONVERSATION. Unfortunately, the same goes for the people beneath me as they hear my partner and me speaking to each other. You can't blame any other resident as it is no one's fault that we live in what is possibly the worst built complex in San Antonio. As to the apartments beside mine? I can hear them if they call someone on speakerphone. (Dialing, ringing, AND talking) which is astonishing. I am blessed that my master bedroom borders the firewall between buildings, so there is no side-noise in my bedroom. But, when you can feel the person beneath your unit ceiling fan going, there are some serious structural issues. When walking the halls, take a look at the concrete floor and walls. You'll notice that the slab is separated from the wall and ~an inch lower than the end of the sheetrock. Parking is a nightmare with 19 guest spots and not enough spots for residents. I am a resident and have had to park at the motel down the street before. (Thank you to the motel owner, Charles, for letting me) I cannot WAIT to move out of this complex.

Needs work

Apartment was not clean upon move in. Paint job is HORRIBLE and easy maintenance items (scratching, touch ups, cleanliness) were neglected.
