Review for Carly at 3607 S Lamar Blvd

Carly who is a property manager at The Groves at 3607 S Lamar Blvd has been the most accommodating and really provides superior service during my time at the Groves. She handles situations with finesse and provides a white glove service that you would find or expect from a property manager at a luxury building (which I have lived in before). She is definitely an example and the epitome of professionalism.

Great location and price for modern unit

I've lived at Groves South Lamar for almost three years. The building is modern and well maintained. The staff is friendly and attentive and maintenance is always quick to respond.

Review

Parking: Parking for guests is horrible- for a complex to have less than 20 spots for guests is unacceptable. And to have no code for the gate so that the guests can park in there is such an inconvenience to the residents. Amenities: The elevator is terribly slow. Gym could use an upgrade or an addition of equipment. Pool is nice. However for the amount of rent we pay, the amenities are not up to par. Location: 1 star. We cannot deny the homeless population is growing in Austin, however Groves on S Lamar is not doing anything to provide safety for the residents. I have not seen a proper security officer patrolling the grounds. Yet I have had multiple terrifying encounters with the homeless at night. Please seek proper security ASAP.

Good, but room for improvement

I have lived for just under a year. Overall happy being a resident here. However....the noise cancellation from the dog park is little to none. It is becoming unbearable at this point...i feel like i have an open window at all times, the doors and wall does nothing to block any noise. Also there is a gate to the parking garage near me that used to make 0 noise. About 2-3 months ago now maintenance installed a stopper and not it slams and its VERY loud throughout my entire apartment every single time anyone uses it....I have asked two times at the office now if that stopper can be taken off because the gate was fine before and I was told that it costs money to put on so it cant be taken off. I'm sure it wasn't more than the $1600 a month rent i pay here to keep a resident happy.
