Gone downhill

When I first moved in it was great and the maintenance was great but over the last year and a half, there have been consistent issues. I have been without AC for a total of 3.5 months and every time I ask the staff they can't give me an answer on what is going on and when it is expected to be back. They told me that there would be compensation for the time without the AC but that has yet to come up or be recognized. There are consistent power outages during the nighttime and there have been several water outages that are always during the mornings with little to no heads up and can last for most of the day. The parking garage gate has been broken for the last 9 months or so and the building keypads go out frequently. The pool maintenance during the summer was almost non-existent and the water would turn green and you could see the algae build up that would cause them to shut down the pool for "cleaning" but then when opened up there was still a lot of algae left. I also got locked out of my apartment due to a bad lock installation and when I told the front staff they looked at me and told me that I needed to contact a locksmith. They didn't offer any help even though I told them it wasn't a lock issue but rather an installation issue. I had to essentially break into my own apartment by myself and when I put in a request to have it fixed it took several days and they came and told me I needed to contact the lock maker. I did so and explained what happened and the lock maker support told me it was an installation issue and cc'd Edison management and support but with no response from Edison. After going and talking to them in person I finally had someone come fix it after 2.5 weeks without being able to lock my door when I leave my apartment.

Decent but Disappointing

The Edison looks nice on a short visit but after living here for half a year I can confirm that it's not any different than most middle quality places even though it's fairly new. Parking is ok if you pay for it, they just started a new system where every visitor has to sign in to website. The gym is a joke, the 'Amenities deck' that costs an extra $30 a month was locked during access hours half the time and is now under construction for some reason. The Maintenance guys and staff are friendly and cool but seem overwhelmed and don't always get to very simple requests. Doors to the courtyard are locked from the inside, one elevator doesn't work and the entrance bar to the garage has been broken for months so anyone can drive right in but you do get to wait to exit(?). The location is ok but the surrounding area is still a little sketchy. You can easily hear your upstairs neighbors anytime they walk around or dogs barking a few units over which happens a lot. Also the shared package drop off closet means you get to hunt around for deliveries every time you get one. Really wanted to like this place but considering the cost it is ultimately disappointing.
