Keep Looking!!!

The rent is NEVER what you are told it will be. The only place you can park consistently is in the road to the north of the apartment complex. Expect multiple charges for the same service 2-3 water charges, fees to charge you for water, and facility use fees, for who know what? No one is is the office, maybe one time, someone actually answered my phone call, and then they were snotty. You can get much better service and an equal place to rent $300-$400 less per month than this place. I am choosing to drive 2 hours a day to commute rather than stay in this overpriced, underkept place.

just want to shout out and give thanks for our awesome maintenance crew. darren and michael helped w/ fixing some problems in my kitchen today. they were respectful in demeanor and their service was efficient and informative. jermaine, who was not present today, always does a great job as well. pls take care of our maintenance crew...they are important in ensuring we have a quality living experience at RHP. thank you all so much for all that you do...so much of which we as residents are not aware of :).

False Advertising

Recently relocated across two countries to get to Abilene. Concerned that the advertised amenities are not the same as those actually available on site. We chose Residence at Heritage for the advertised pool and business center. Even though the website described the business center and even provided pictures as to what it's appearance looks like, I was informed a few days prior to moving that there is not a business center on site. Very disappointing, as we were anticipating using the space to divide up the children for their schooling. I was informed from Janet that they could provide us back our deposit and we could find an alternate location to live, but days before moving with no other options is not a adequate compensation for false advertising. Now only a few days into residency, we have been told that the pool closes for the season at the end of September. Now September 12th, we found chains around the gate last night when going to the pool with the kids for a swim. I am not sure if the chains are for another reason, but if that is related to seasonal closure, I am extremely disappointed. We had understood our rent covered access to a business center and pool, while indeed neither are available. Otherwise, the location is great and neighbors are amazing! Thank you for taking the time to hear my concerns. If rectification could be made in allowing the pool to be accessible for longer, it would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Angie

You might find yourself in a situation like ours….

It saddens me to write this, but I am relegated to publicly post; as we have gotten zero response from Residence management… Firstly, I would like to preface my comments by saying we are not complainer’s or difficult people to get a long with, on the contrary, we have always taken the position of live and let live, but extreme lack of sleep has a way of turning even the most passive person into a ranting lunatic so buckle your seat belts… We moved in about a year ago. We are building a house and RV life was not quite as fun as we imagined. The first thing we noticed about our apartment was that it has flooded…a lot! TWICE MORE since we moved in. Baseboard warped, sheet rock bubbled, door frames crooked, doors won’t stay open, & most importantly the ceiling/upstairs floor creaks with every fart or giggle from swollen planks of wood from our single upstairs neighbor. Fast forward 3 months, & now our single upstairs neighbor has moved out & been replaced by some very nice, but very rambunctious, nocturnal kids. 6 of them to be exact. I would say 7 people live above us but we very rarely see the mom, & with all the rough housing, screaming, fighting and jumping we can only assume that the poor 12 yo. girl is trying to keep her younger siblings in check. The once creaking of the water soaked ceiling has now turned into thunderous booms & jolting thuds that go on from early morning till well….early morning. We get very little sleep and zero peace & quiet on the days we stay at the apartment. We have basically been forced back into the RV 4 days out of the week to try & catchup on exhaustion from being there 3 days due to proximity to work. We really don’t blame the family above us. I’m sure the mom is just trying to make ends meet & the kids are just being kids. The real culprit is WHO let a family of 7 move into a second floor apartment above a family of 4 & has done absolutely NOTHING about our pleas for help in resolving. OH AND OUR CAR WAS STOLEN HERE
