Drive by and see for yourself

Been here 3 years and have seen several management turn over. Seems the current crew are trying to clean up what they were left. Last year the grounds were not maintained. The buildings were starting to look run down. It was beginning to look like government housing. They increased the rent $245 more per month and the faciity was not being maintained. The apartment is nice, but shop before you sign the line. See what other options are out there. Walk around, look at the buildings, check out the garbage area, pool, and breezeways. If you see someone outside, ask them what it's like living there.

Good and Bad

Office and maintenance personnel are polite and seem to do the best of their ability. However, managers above them leave a lot to be desired. I would assume the middle and upper management have not authorized lawn service. Grass around our apartment is about a foot high. Trees need topped and bushes need trimmed. Mulch on the flower beds has disappeared in some places. Downspouts that should be beneath the mulch and out of site are completely exposed. In the winter months, ice is allowed to accumulate on the sidewalks creating a walking hazard. The trash dumpster should be inconspicuous, but almost daily, excess trash and large items are within plain view. Rent is about to increase an additional $4,000. Our floor plan is good. It's spacious and easy to live in. Amenities are ample. For us, location is almost perfect, and would be perfect, but a recycling plant is located to the rear and sometimes the stench is almost nauseating. Are we satisfied with our decision to live here? In many ways, yes. Exterior upkeep is below standard and the price increase cannot be justified.

Love the apartment and it's location. The office staff are not people friendly. You see them out on the grounds it's an effort for them to speak, if they even speak at all. The maintenance staff are above the top. They are friendly and when a request goes in they respond. Noise control is not enforced and pet owners don't use the dog park they use the common area and it is so covered in dog poop you can't walk to the pit without stepping dog poop. I have complained about it several times and given description of the dogs but nothing is followed up on. I was coming back from the dumpster when the girl with the cocker mix was standing at my patio on her cell phone letting her dog poop at my patio. She walked away and left it for me to clean up. This happens often. This is such a nice complex to not maintain. We were told last summer the breeze ways were going to be power washed and the bicycles would be removed if not claimed. Nothing was ever done. I love living here, but it will not be worth the value if these simple things are not kept up and some pride goes into the care.
