Downtown Dream Lofts

I have been a resident of the Land Bank Lofts for almost exactly one month now and I feel more at home than I did in my last apartment that I lived in for three years. This an elegant and extravagant building with a small-knit sense of community. There don't seem to be very many staff members or residents from what I've seen so far. And I love that. There aren't people constantly roaming the building or any loud noises at all hours. It is actually notably very quiet throughout the building. I never hear anything through the walls when I am in my apartment. I'm beginning to think that either everyone is very respectful or the walls are sound proof. Either way I appreciate the peace and quiet which can be very rare for an apartment complex. The only staff I have seen so far are Lisa, the wonderful office manager, and a very friendly maintenance attendant who waves me 'good morning' even at 7:30 am whenever he sees me leaving for work. Lisa enthusiastically addresses any concerns or issues that I have and always makes me feel like a priority. The apartments are beautifully designed with unique layouts and high quality amenities. I admire the aesthetic created by the historical architectural features of the building kept from its original use as a bank that operated during the heat of the 20th century. Its adds an eclectic feel that you can't find in most apartment buildings. Lastly, the location of this building is superb. You are in a very safe, quiet area while also only being blocks away from an abundance of stores, restaurants, and locations for events. My favorite thing about the location is that I am able to walk to and from the Soda City Market that occurs every Saturday morning. You are also near a hospital, the library, and the Columbia Museum of Art. If you're looking for an apartment that is the perfect mix of practical, artsy, and elegant then I would highly recommend the Land Bank Lofts.

Could Be Better

The people at LandBank are great, staff is easy to work with and happy to help; location is perfect. But, for the same amount of money you can find apartments that are newer, better maintained, and provide more amenities at a higher quality. If you're wondering, should I live at LandBank? No, get a mortgage.
