Why Renters Love It Here
New building. Slobby people.
The downfall with this building is the quality of the tenants. One would think they would have the sense of not leaving a mess either in the hallways or the laundry room but unfortunately, there are some losers here for everyone else. The staff works hard, trying to keep the building clean, but often they can’t keep up with disgusting tenants.
Waterleaf
I've been living there for 3 months. It is a great location for me. I'm able to walk everyday. The staff are very helpful and I'm getting to know my neighbors on my floor everyday.
Good location, nice new building, some city living iffyness
The staff is very nice, the price is right, its in a very walkable neighborhood with access to the quiet parts if the waterfront. Downside is you’re surrounded by highways and theres some sketchiness due to concentration of negative wealth but hey, grateful for affordable housing. No in unit laundry is a bummer and no microwave is an odd choice. Nice play area for kids is a plus and good school district.
Great value but
No A/C in units makes top floor living almost unbearable. Extremely poor design for air flow in units keeps air stagnant. Units are very small. Nice high ceilings. Good management staff. Well-vetted neighbors are mandatory to kerp building livable. High traffic noise from elevated freeway plagues east side of building and air quality extremely poor. Whether management will be able to control possibly dangerous neighbors remains to be seen. Stay tuned.
Nice place and location!
Waterleaf is a nice property. Its secure and has security on site when the office staff are gone for the day. Parking is good and comes with 1 spot included, but you can only have one car, which stucks. Keeps your car secure from all the dowtown activity. If you have to park on the street you have to pay, and people break into cars all too often in this city. They have people clean the building areas during the week, so for the most part it stays neat, weekends can get a little messy in the elevators. The office staff are always friendly and helpful, great people! They always have signs up for different resources available to the residents. Only thing I’ve ever had to complain about are my neighbors above me walking so hard and moving things all times of the day and night. But hey, it’s apartment living so what can you expect. All in all, its a nice place, the apartments are brand new. Sometimes there are people hanging out front smoking and stuff due to no smoking in the buildings, but nothing major that causes authorities to be involved. My family and I have enjoyed living here for the past few months, and the great scenery for walks and bike rides.
