The Fairmount Hotel was completed just in time for the 1905 Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition. Located on NW 26th Avenue, across from what was once the Exposition's entrance, The Fairmount was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000. UD+P is thrilled to apply our renovation and preservation expertise to this vital piece of Portland history so it can be enjoyed by Portland residents for another century or more. In 2018, the property underwent an extensive restoration and renovation—all while preserving the historic charm of the Fairmount’s exterior. The renovated Fairmount Apartments have approximately 80 modern units with a mix of Studio, One Bedrooms and Two Bedroom apartments.

Overpriced under managed.

I don't feel like this building is managed.

Fairmount

Management has been a revolving door of individuals that view tenants with varying degrees of disdain, but the building itself is nice and the neighbors and neighborhood are cool.

The happiest renter:

Living here has a very positive impact in my life, in me, since I can have a community of people I can develop relationship with. I Love the historical feeling of the place. It reaffirms my identity, my way of living life, inside and in the courtyard when the weather is good, inviting people over, to feel connected. Thank you to the architects who saved this building just on time, and thank you for having done such a beautiful work in renovating it. It makes me ferl grounded, and I breath here peacefully.

Looking to move

The building is fine but there are tenants here who are intentionally trashing the property constantly. I pick up intentional litter every day and the trash area is usually a mess. Right now the back gate is unlocked and wide open. Sloppy. I find management seems annoyed when I voice my concerns as it is a privilege to pay 1225 for a studio that is worth 700 dollars. Im looking for a new place to live.
