Even the unexpected death of a family member isnt good enough reason for him to return the security deposit. Mother lived there and when she passed away. Owner siad contract was fulfilled.

Google your landlord and do some reading. 1700 a month is insane considering you get zero amenities. The body of water near the enterance stinks and turns neon green. You can hear everything your neighbors do because theres no insulation.
