Hampton House Review

I have a beautiful and spacious one-bedroom apartment here, and I find it to be a good value and in a nice location. I enjoy being a short drive from downtown and within walking distance of Edgewater Park, Lucky's Market, and several restaurants. The staff are kind and friendly, as are the neighbors I have seen. Downsides are the noise from the apartment directly above me and the smell of cigarette smoke in my apartment from a neighboring unit.

Looking for Good ! When ownership does not invest back into.

I believe that this Rental Property could be so much better if the Top Ownership or Upper Management would direct and endorse the people running day to day operations to deliver TRUE TOP service with all the necessary. tools (including money for proper pay and purchase of needed equipment.. Allowing fluid money reasonable enough to take care of business .[ An example} a heater in garage that worked fine 3 to 4 years ago but Management has refused to repair. This quite honestly just a tip of the Ice burg. The front DOOR IN HAMPTON HOUSE has been jury rigged TOO MANY times. PRPER craftsmen need to be called one time instead of continuing to slaughter this great building with its historical attributes. Is awful. I came hear to live with reasonable rent ( whish is not true ) and have vintage I can be proud of. . Just because you can rent out apartments with ease does not mean all is well. As soon as I get friendly with fellow tenant they are moving out. 1 year is customary sometimes 2 yrs. The advantage is Ownership can comfortably up the rent because the seeker is hungry for a place to live.---. Without knowing what lies under the carpet. I hear it from tenants during our own exit interview albeit not formal, we each share the disappointment in basic repairs and amenities. All is well however just LOOK the Market is BRISK and needy on this AVENUE. Some of the rentals, competition can hardly keep up with prospective tenants, Supply and demand saves ALL. Spend the necessary. money. Put in New electrical so the lights don't blink every time the air turns on. PUT IN a new boiler at Hampton House where one room isn't cold and the other very warm. These are not unreasonable expectations OH and that roof that had to be repaired by THE CITY Pressure (roomer )has it . Think again..... No shortcuts when you've taken advantage far too long..... Time catches up with everything, no matter what . . All any one wants when renting , an ownership that cares outwardly.

lease

I have asked several times to renew my lease and there has been nothing. I have seen other residents get there lease under the their door. I will not pay the fees for no lease , because this office has not given me a new lease. I have been here 16 years and always been given a lease. I work 2 jobs and your office is not open when I get home. Please review

Please, fix my apartment.

Maintenance and staff are super nice and everything, and I especially appreciate that we no longer have to worry about our delivered packages getting stolen. The updated laundry facilities are nice, but also very expensive. Most important, I have lived here for over a decade now, and while emergency repairs are always taken care of in a timely manner, the rest of my place is falling apart. My kitchen and bathroom both need to be updated, (for example, the kitchen counter is crumbling away in pieces, my shower curtain rod hasn't been fixed since falling out of the wall months ago), and my place hasn't been painted since the first year I moved in. The old paint is falling off my walls and ceiling in chunks. I love the location and I love my place, so I have no desire to move away, however, I feel like I am being punished for my loyalty with an exorbitant rent increase, that I wouldn't mind so much if my place wasn't literally falling apart around me. Also, my neighbors are all very nice and mostly quiet, but my upstairs neighbor still thinks it's ok to stomp around and slam things in the morning like an elephant having a party. I don't want to complain about it, because it has improved since her first few months here, and she's out of town quite a bit, so during those glorious times I actually get to sleep. Still, folks should be encouraged to have common courtesy toward their neighbors, especially since our leases say we should be quiet. My neighbor across the hall keeps opening the hallway and stairwell windows even when it's freezing, snowing, or raining outside, causing significant heating bill increases and property damage I'm sure. It's especially annoying in the winter for me, because it doesn't help with my already very drafty, due to the seemingly rotting window frames, apartment. Anyway, that's my review. I hope it helps.

Hampton House

The apartment building is one of the best placed buildings in Cleveland - close to everything. The staff has always gone above and beyond in helping the residents. Some people have complained about things like the elevator; But when you consider the age of Hampton House, this comes with things like hardwood floors, and handcrafted details that are just not available anymore. The character of the building is one of the primary draws.
