Desert Pines is one of Nevada HAND’s family communities located on East Bonanza Road near the I-515 in Las Vegas. Desert Pines is surrounded by several community amenities, including the Desert Pines Golf Course, Mike Morgan Family Park, and Gary Reese Freedom Park. This area has many local grocery stores, retail shops, dining options, and K-12 schools, including Oran K. Gragson Elementary School, Equipo Academy, and Desert Pines High School. Desert Pines is a unique community in that it includes an on-site clubhouse operated by the Boys and Girl Club of Southern Nevada. Residents may qualify for full membership scholarships for their children to gain full access to the Boys and Girls Club services. Desert Pines is also staffed with a Resident Services Coordinator, who connects residents to community assistance programs, volunteer groups, and community activities, including workforce development opportunities, homework assistance programs, and summer education curricula. Desert Pines is “more than a home” and perfect for families interested in an active and comfortable community for adults and children. Monthly rent at Desert Pines start at only $909 per month for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, $1,040 for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, and $1,155 for a four-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. To qualify, applicants must earn a minimum monthly income of at least 2 ½ times the amount of rent being charged for the apartment home – income restrictions may apply. A two-person household must not exceed $36,000 gross annual income, a three-person household must not exceed $40,500 gross annual income, and a four-person household must not exceed $45,000 gross annual income.
