Excellent Community
Excellent location and it is a very cozy apartment building , very good maintenance. Happy to be living here
Review
Pretty decent location but just annoyed that there’s common problems when paying quite a bit of rent. The gym has no air ventilation. The internet is slow, paid for the bundle as well.
Good but can be better
Very Poor noise isolation. If you are living at second street. You will not be able to sleep without ear plug. The AC is not sound proof from the outside so… frustrating.
Great Neighborhood
My husband and I have lived in this building for a year and half. We were some of the first residents to live in the building and the first ones to live in our unit. We love the neighborhood and where the building is located. The building still has some kinks to work out. Staff is friendly but generally unhelpful when issues arise. Not because they aren't trying; management has made it difficult for you to get in contact with the people who ACTUALLY can do anything about the issue you are having. There seem to be a lot of unnecessary controls in place just to make things difficult and a way to charge more money. Also there were a ton of issues when we first moved in - stove & oven didn't work, ice maker didn't work, washer dryer broke on first use (everything was brand new btw) and the outlets in our second bedroom didn't work and that took a year and a half to fix.
Nice Property, Doesn't Value Tenants
The DVORA is a nice property and community, but they don't value long-term tenants, just short-term profitability. They will say there is parking and there is even a clause in the lease, but there is no actual parking at 175 2nd, and even the inconveniences of loading and unloading your car are not ideal. They increased rent 20%+ in 2022 because they value profit, not long term tenants, and the amenity fee isn't valuable unless you maximize your usage for 2+ people per residence. You are charged for guests coming and hanging out on the roof - vs. at other buildings locally, amenity fees are a fraction of the cost and inclusive of guests. People considering the DVORA should definitely weigh the pros and cons, and should consider it a short-term residency if they aren't open to exponential increases in costs.
