Overhyped and Overpriced

I lived here for 2 years, and could not wait to get out. Maintenance was never timely, office staff never returned phone calls and were very unpleasant during every interaction. For over $1,200 a month you get to live in an outdated apartment with ancient appliances that will break, only to have those appliances replaced with even older ones. The pictures they show on their website DO NOT reflect what most of the units look like. We toured 3 units prior to selecting one, and not one of them looked even remotely similar to their advertisement photos. The elevator was a nice amenity to have, however it would break often and the staff would wait weeks to fix it. Many residents have dogs which is not a problem, however, the property was absolutely littered with dog waste. And many times I encountered off leash dogs in the hallway which could be unnerving if they weren't well behaved. The walls here are paper thin and you will be able to hear your neighbors, no matter how quiet they're being. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Southwest Gables

This is a very nice rental property. They make efforts to address things that happen that are within their scope of handling. Violations of smoking, noise by dogs, dogs damaging or incontinence issues in common areas. Some issues: Increased noise by other residents allowing doors to bang shut including the stairs (inconsiderate people), children running and yelling down the halls (parents are responsible).

Southwest Gables

Maintenance Staff is very responsive and helpful. Struggles for everyone through this Covid Virus . The front office just changed staffing so I would have to wait to comment. So far communication has been good! Apartment is nice and very quiet which was one of my main concerns moving here after 25 years of living in a single family home. Elevator is reliable ! Also VERY grateful the property went all Non-Smoking. I hope they can get rid of the few violators that are still living here an smoking in their units effecting other neighbors. Wonderful place to live - Highly recommend
