Long Time Resident

I have lived here for 15 years, the rent and the property are excellent. The incentives when it is time to renew your lease are wonderful. We had our apartment refurbished about 3 years ago and it's like living in a brand new apartment.

Unprofessional lack of communication

I feel like I’m being trolled right now. First, I get lied to about my apartment being re-listed on the website after it was taken down for an application. Then when I figure out nearly two weeks later that it was never re-listed and I ask why, I never get an email back explaining what happened. PRG failed to mitigate damages which is your duty according to North Dakota law. Then recently my husband drives by the apartment for work and sees the patio light on. I email about that and never get an explanation as to why that is and if it’s being corrected. I don’t care if the extra electricity use costs me an extra $5/month, I shouldn’t have to pay for it because an employee neglected to care enough to check that all the lights are off before leaving. Also, why are people entering the apartment without giving us proper notification? I don’t care if we are moved out and don’t have the keys. We still pay for the apartment. We should be notified so we have date and time stamps of what’s going on in case something happens. I demand you inform me every time someone will be entering the apartment, or you need to terminate the lease obligation in writing (email). I’m quite sick of the lack of communication and we feel completely disrespected by the behaviors of staff after spending over $50,000 on rent at this company over the years. Also, after filing my BBB complaint the cafe rent portal says I’m a past resident and that any payment will be unapplied credit. I’ve never seen this before and I’m not paying another cent until 1) I am informed of why that is and 2) we come to a solution about the failure to mitigate damages. If you’ve terminated my obligation to the lease PRG needs to -communicate- that to me in writing. Not keep ignoring me. Since you won’t uphold your part of the business relationship, I’ll be canceling the electric bill in my name. You can pay for your negligent employees leaving lights on.

Overall a one rating.

I haven't had any problems with the ladies that manage the place but I have been very upset with the maintenance and amenities. When I first moved in we had issues with the dryer and it took FIVE phone calls and two maintenance visits with nothing getting fixed to finally get them to realize we needed a new dryer. Now, our dishwasher is broken and it's had water sitting in the bottom of it for 2 weeks. I have sat for 1 1/2 weeks waiting to hear from someone or to have someone look at it. I am absolutely disappointed and will never be renting from this company again. There are times I have called the emergency line before and it told me it was a disconnected number. I have repeatedly told people not to rent from PRG. I will continue to do so until things change during my lease. I will not be resigning with this company.
