Great location, service, value -- but the noise (oof)

I wonder if there is anything that can be done to work with the city so that they're not picking up the dumpsters from Weaver Street Market before 7:00 a.m. Nearly every morning around 5:00 a.m. we wake to the sound of trucks picking up and slamming down the dumpsters. The train horn, while not as bad, feels excessive, too. Has anyone approached the city about maybe pursuing one or two less honks and/or shorter durations? Am I dreaming or could something actually be done on, perhaps, a local government level to reduce the level of noise pollution in the neighborhood?

Review 1/31

I love everything about our apartment building minus our actual apartment. We're on the second floor and the street noise doesn't bother me almost at all (minus a few rowdy nights when the club across the corner gets out). But my bedroom is located right next to the study room. At least one a week I sleep on the couch because the people in the room are talking so loud. And I don't think it's the actual people studying meaning to be loud, I'm sure they don't know there is a bedroom next to the wall. I just think it's poor sound proofing on the Dillon side. Last night I was woken up and I could tell the guys were studying math. Because that's how clear the sound comes into the bedroom.

The Dillon - Pricey but you’re close to everything

Love the 1st floor apt with a separate private entry and tall ceilings. Walk outside to the lounge/common room, BBQ and pool. The gym is decent and the rooftop has a great view. Great restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. Only downside is — the amount of foot traffic and loud party goers on Friday and Saturday nights. My apt faces out with the additional separate entrance. But if facing in — I don’t think I’d get the amount of sunlight I now get.

Dillon Review

My girlfriend has to park on the street and walk the the my apartment on the weekends, sometimes at night, when there are plenty of open spaces in the deck that resident guests aren't allowed to use
