Nice Place but Poor Management

I've only lived at P&K since February, but I've had enough issues with management that I've decided to leave. My car window was smashed in the gated garage which they still leave open everyday. Two other cars were robbed in that incident. They never told the residents so I didn't find out my window was smashed until days later. I also had a $150 package stolen out of the package room that is visible from the street. They did move the package room, but again, I had to find out weeks later from another resident that the burglary took place. I also had a written agreement to extend my lease 12 months. The office manager left for another position and my agreement with him wasn't honored by the staff. This was the straw that broke the camels back. I would absolutely not recommend this complex.

Just signed another 15month lease

All in all I can’t say enough good about this property. John is fantastic at his job, as is maintenance. Suggestions: I wish we had a coke machine - a lot of other apartment complexes have drink and/or snack machines for purchasing things and they are great! Also I think a hotel cart should stay in the Kingston building. Both of them are in the Park building and it’s needed apartment-wide. Cell phone service isn’t the best and the parking deck across from my balcony is super loud every night! Overall: I love it here so much. The pool is one of the best kept secrets in Charlotte and the gym is great too! The value for size and location truly can’t be beat. Plus it’s ALOT of one bedrooms and it seems to be older professionals, so the complex is very safe and quiet by nature. I won’t move out until I get up the courage to purchase something! Also, I’ve lived in almost every Charlotte neighborhood and I was looking forward to Southend the least and man was I wrong! This is the BEST Charlotte neighborhood. Anything you want is walkable!! I can’t say enough good honestly!
