Great Apartments

I had no issues while living at The Links at Columbia. While the location is not ideal in my opinion, it was quiet for the most part and the complex is beautiful. The apartments are a bit dated inside, but they're not old and they are roomy. Parking was never an issue and the amenities are nice. Plus, I never had any issues with management or maintenance. Everyone is friendly and there to help.

Really bad internet, no I mean the worst I have ever had

The owners of the apt complex have a de facto monopoly on high-speed internet in the area (Lindsey Comm LLC, or 10Mbps Century Link for 50$ as of this review). The ppl at Lindsey Comm are EXTREMELY unhelpful. They are often downright rude and condescending, they have horrid office hours, working late (after 5:30PM) and your internet goes down or slows to dial-up speeds (as it often does, I am talking <300Kbps in the evening)? Guess who is done for the day? I have had to purchase extra hotspot data just so I can actually work from home to supplement the internet I am already overpaying for. Their prices are not cheap. You can spend upwards of 70-80$ for ~25-30Mbps (you will only get anywhere near that about 15% of the time). All this feels like a criminal enterprise I would genuinely move if I was not busy trying to survive/keep my job through the pandemic. In the age of working from home the internet alone is a deal breaker. The oligopoly really should be litigated. On the whole the staff are actually nice and helpful, so are the maintenance ppl. No complaints on this side. But if you want to participate in the 21st century workforce, maybe go look somewhere else. I am furious about how bad the overall service has been wrt the internet. I have had more helpful interactions with AT&T than some of the ppl at Lindsey. In a moderately sized city in the 21st century to have this sort of experience is insane. Internet is not a commodity it is a vital utility that many of us need to remain not homeless. By being dismissive, rude, unhelpful and stupendously uncompetitive they are putting my and others' livelihoods in danger. A lawsuit is in order I think, perhaps I will talk to legal counsel and some of my neighbors around the complex to see if I can get others to sign on.

High Price, Good Ammenities ...

... the staff is rude. Find another place if you can. The golf course is better than you'd expect. The golf and course staff are great. Housing staff leaves a GREAT deal to be desired.
