Good Value but Needs Better Maintenance

I chose to move into Blue Springs Apartments almost two years ago, because the rent was reasonable for the size of the unit and the location worked well for me. For the most part, I like living here. The building is older, but my energy costs are low, possibly because I have a second-floor unit. I am not happy with the "it's not bad enough to do something" attitude of management on maintenance and repair issues. Repairs that had not been completed before I moved in still have not been done, almost two years later. Issues I have raised -- some over a year ago -- still have not been addressed. One issue represents a significant health hazard. When I reported it, I was told it would be a big repair job that would inconvenience me if it were done, as if the inconvenience outweighed a health hazard! When a major issue is ignored, it makes all the more minor things less tolerable -- like the broken toilet seat that hasn't been replaced in six months!

Love it here!!

Very nice place to live!! Staff has always been very professional! Lived here for almost 6 years with no real complaints. I have tried for over 2 years to have my third floor patio deck repaired! It is rotting away and the railing is dropping!! Not safe to use at this point!!

Pet Policy

At Blue Springs Apartments, pets are considered a part of the family. As a pet friendly property, we are required to follow mandated pet guidelines. Contact the leasing office to discuss any pets that may be joining your family. All pets require a $200 - $400 deposit. Half of which is non-refundable. In addition to other lease charges, you will be charged a $20 pet rent fee monthly. It will be listed as a separate line item on your lease paperwork.
