New lease
The office place is nice and the people but the unit and building I was placed in is not nice
It’s ok
Location is great. The renovations people who get the apts ready for rental are terrible. It looks great if you don’t look at anything too closely. Everything is as cheap as can be. I’ve lived in 2 apts here, both of them recently renovated so I was the 1st tenant in each unit. I had a closet door fall off on top of me because it wasn’t installed correctly. I can’t even tell u how many times I’ve reattached the towel bars. I moved in to my current apt 3 years ago, with all new appliances. Year 1 - had to replace washer/dryer unit. Year 2 - microwave went out and had to be replaced. Year 3 - still waiting on a new dishwasher or drain pump (we haven’t actually been updated on it since maint was out for the 4th time). These could all be minor inconveniences if they were fixed in a timely manner. They are getting better, but there are often long lapses between putting in a ticket and having someone show up at your door. If you live on the 1st or 2nd floor, learn to live with the sounds of your upstairs neighbors walking around. There is zero soundproofing between floors. Same with walking down the hallways. The doors are paper thin and you will hear everything going on in an apt as you walk by it. Last but not least, the ac/heat issue is probably my biggest complaint. Especially since we are now paying for it. In the past, it was included in the rent. But the next mgmt co snuck it into the renewed leases without telling anyone (along with a small rent increase). You pay according to your square footage, and the amounts can get quite high for the space you have. Especially since my apt is always hot and I rarely use the heat. But here, once they turn the heat on, the ac is off for the season. The new mgmt crew seems good and deserves a chance. I am hoping to see some positive changes with some of the above issues. I don’t find any of them as inconvenient as moving from one rental to another, so will stay until I buy a place. Great amenities!
noise complaint
It is irritating to get a call that there is formal noise complaint against me, saying we were making noise early in the morning while we were asleep. There is plenty of noise here, dogs barking late at night and early in the morning, waking up my son and me for example.
A great place to live!
We've been super happy with our apartment at the Burlington. Everyone we've met has been super friendly and helpful, we love the proximity to many good things (Como Park, great running trails, tasty burgers at Gabe's), and there are great amenities here too. Of course, some newer apartments have insane amenities, but we prioritized the value of the Burlington, and couldn't be happier with where we ended up!! Keep up the good work, All! :)
