Great place to live, family friendly, some amenities not available(Griller, sauna) Gym has a very good space but drinking water fountains are old. Pool is great during hot days, but water is to cold for the kids on a regular 75-80 F Michigan summer day

Good Location, bad upkeep

Good area, convenient, like the pool, a lot of the complex isnt taken care of, hot tub has been broke since I moved in, Grill has been broke since I moved in, Landscaping has not been well taken care of, pond fountains dont work, but I like living in the community, just wish they would put more into upkeep.

Water leaks and lack of maintenance - Wouldn't recommend

At first we were very excited to live at Village Green of Rochester - It was close to downtown (15min walk), complex seemed quiet, there was a pool and a few other amenities that seemed to be attractive... then things started to take a turn for the worst. I should have known the overwhelming smell of air fresheners in the apartment when we originally toured it meant they were covering something up. Water leaks and flooding galore! After almost every rain the unit would have wet carpet and water leaking into it. VG knowingly rented us a unit that had a history of water infiltration and that is not fair to anyone. After multiple maintenance requests it seamed like they just didn't care. Even with a video of water actively leaking into our unit they didn't take any steps to solve it in a timely way. We were subjected to continue living in a space as it started smelling moldy/damp and had rotting + expanding wood from the water damage. The management wouldn't help us in any way so we ended up leaving. Kind of crazy paying 1700/month for a place that has water leaks We talked with a handful of neighbors in the complex and sure enough they also had water issues with lack of timely repairs... Protect yourself and live somewhere else
