Couldn't Be Happier

I moved into Presidential Estates last August, and it's been wonderful. Nancy, the leasing agent I worked with, was great throughout the leasing process, and I run into Bill every month when I go to drop off my rent check. The gym is a bit dark and depressing (the only thing I can pick on), but hey, it HAS a gym. My unit is light and airy, and was freshly painted and the rugs shampooed when I moved in. I have cats, and this complex is pet friendly. I love running into my neighbors out with their dogs, and my cats just adore watching all of the activity around the building. The unit itself is actually super quiet, which was the biggest surprise. My first night there, my neighbors apparently had a party, but I didn't hear a thing. I occasionally hear some faint noise in the living room, but never anything when I'm back in the bedroom. I have a one bedroom unit, and the size is perfect for one. It feels big, but not too big. There's PLENTY of storage (5 closets, including a walk in!). I'm looking forward to checking out the pool in a few weeks when it opens. Laundry is easy with a washer and dryer in every building, though our dryer tends to require two cycles to completely dry clothes. I'm very happy here, and I plan to stay until I can afford to buy my own place.

Been very happy for over two years now

Note on the parking: we only have one vehicle, so I'm not certain the ease of parking for two. But we've never had a problem having guests over/parking their vehicles! 4 Stars on noise because where we are is fairly noise free (compared to Boston at least) but we get a lot of noise sometimes from the next lot over. Staff is super easy to get a hold of (especially by email which works out great for my schedule), and maintenance has excellent response. Love the pool in the summer, and gym when we can. Centrally located for highway or public transportation, which we actively use both. Overall it has and continues to be an amazing place that we plan to stay for a few more years while we pay off student debt and save for a house.

11 year resident Part 2

The second bedroom is just a tad smaller, but with a larger than standard closet. The living/ dining room is large (we have a room divider for some separation. Our nine-foot Christmas tree looks great when its that time of year, too! The kitchen is admittedly small, but open. Perfect for our needs. And once you’re IN the apartment, you cannot hear your neighbors. (In the stairways, maybe a little, but once you close your door, you are truly in a quiet space). That was probably the happiest surprise, as I have had previous experiences where the walls were paper thin, and you could practically hear the neighbors’ thoughts! So this is a huge plus. Plus, there is laundry in every building. Staff-wise, I have to say management is on their game. Someone is always around if needed, but with the exception of a late night when I had forgotten my keys, I haven’t really had to take advantage. Our carpets have been replaced (a few years back), and management is good about making sure the units are kept in good shape. So staff is easily accessible, but not remotely intrusive. I would definitely recommend Presidential Estates as a great option in your apartment hunt. I have seen (and lived in!) other places out there, and for me to live in one place for more than a decade speaks for itself. You can’t beat the location, square footage, grounds, and staff… The residents are cool, too (no shady characters—if there are any, you won’t see them. Another huge plus!!). It’s pretty, well-maintained, and quiet. Moving here was one of the best decisions I’ve made. Hope whoever is reading this review takes my opinions to heart. If I read something like this 11 years ago, it would have my apartment hunt then go much more quickly. Presidential Estates comes with my highest recommendation! 11 year resident (part 1)

I am writing this review as an eleven (11!!!) year resident of Presidential Estates. I cannot recommend this complex highly enough. If you bear with me, I can elaborate… What drew us to Presidential Estates, initially, was the location and the price. There is plenty of parking, both for guests, as well as deeded spots (so you always have your own parking spot, and when guests come they are easily accommodated). If you commute, the bus is literally at the entrance of the complex (which is an improvement over the one block walk it was when we moved in!). I wont go into the proximity of Quincy Center (being revitalized as we speak), etc etc, as if you are reading this you are already familiar with the area. The grounds are gorgeous, and meticulously maintained. They underwent a serious facelift several years back, and really spruced up what was a bit dated looking. The landscaping and grounds maintenance are surprisingly top notch, and they are at the top of their game when it comes to these crummy Boston winters. All walkways and parking lots are pretreated and constantly plowed—very safe when things get dicey outside. (For what its worth, the entire complex is extremely well lit, and as a gated community, there is always someone around). Never have I felt unsafe, and the tenants are a great mix of young professionals, middle-aged people like me (Yikes!!) and even families. Though I don’t have a pet, Presidential Estates is also pet-friendly. There is a tennis court and gym (never used the tennis courts, and the gym years are a few years behind me, but the equipment is good... I know I should go back, LOL… One of these days!! I live in a 2 bedroom unit on the top floor (of three floors). We have skylights, and a balcony with a slider. You don’t run into that very often! The master bedroom has an awesome walk-in closet, and holds a King-size bad, 2 nightstands, and two dressers (plus bookshelves, etc). So plenty of room...

Welcoming and friendly community

I have lived at Presidential Estates for many years. The apartments have more sq. ft. than newer properties and are well maintained, as are the grounds. What I like most is the diversity and neighborliness of residents. Folks say hello and are quick to lend a helping hand when you need one. I also like being able to walk to Walgreens, Walmart, Roche Brothers and Kam Man Market (Presidents Plaza), and it's a short hop to Quincy Center's restaurants, library and T Station on the MBTA bus that stops at the end of the entrance driveway. Doesn't get any better than this!
