Two-year resident
Lived at 1848 Commonwealth Ave for about two years. Great overall! Maintenance staff is very responsive.
It is too hot in the apartment
I really like the building. Parking obviously is not the buildings fault. I am happy with how responsive the staff is. However, a huge complaint is how hot it is in the winter. I have a thermometer in my living room and it is usually between 76 and 78 degrees. When it is cold outside I have to have a window open with a fan blowing in, because of how hot it is. I cannot shut off the radiators. In the spring/summer the valves on the radiators should be changed out. That way I can control them in my apartment. I put in a maintenance request earlier this winter, but did not hear a word about it.
Great Place
Very nice apartment, excellent staff (from realtor to maintenance to management), great location. A bit noisy (train and cars, not the residents), parking can be difficult, but being steps from the train is a plus. Very happy with our experience with Mt Vernon, highly recommended.
