Choose this place, here’s why:

Great location, nicely updated building/units, caretakers on premises keep it pretty clean and generally respond quickly, it’s fairly quiet, and the owner demonstrated concern for the residents during the pandemic. The property management company is ok, they encourage community support efforts, but some of the maintenance work is poor quality. In general, this is a nice place to live and they usually address issues and concerns in a timely manner. I’ve lived here several years and gain nothing by giving this review.

Great location and price

Great location and the price is probably the best you will come across. Older building but no major issues, some with the laundry/dryer machines here and there but they tend to be resolved quickly. Noise creeps in from the hallways a bit, but unless a neighbor is being obnoxiously loud its never too noticeable

Ok but not great

Service is not as good since new property management company took over but the on-site caretakers are still great. Remodeling improvements are a positive but the maintenance is much worse than it was before.

444 W St James: Great location, needs more investment

The location and price is a great value. However, the building and appliances could use more investment if you want to attract renters down the road. Wood floors will go a long way.
