Average apartment complex to live in.

Lived in complex one year maintenance personnel are great however overall property maintenance is poor. Office staff is not friendly and give the impression that you should be grateful to them for allowing you to stay there.

Lealand place

Maintenance rarely come out to help. Staff is horrible. Add additional fees for no apparent reason.

Deceptive and Dishonest Management

My lease was expiring and I told them I was planning on purchasing a home, so I wouldn’t be able to start another full lease. They said that was fine and that I could do a shorter length lease, but month to month wasn’t an option. The document states that my agreement renews month to month, but they said they just have to check a box, so that wasn’t accurate. The lease is a binding contract, so since it is marked as month to month, that’s what I am bound to. When I found out I would be able to move, I asked what notice I should provide for my month to month agreement and how. They said I was not month to month and that I would have to pay a lease termination fee and provide sixty days notice. I wasn’t pleased with this, but I obliged. Upon turning in my keys, I received an email a few days later stating that I would have to pay over $1800 to have the carpet replaced due to “two years of use” The deposit amount is set up to cover wear and tear items like this, especially when there is not extensive damage. After further research, I am actually not required to pay a lease termination fee since the document we signed states that it is month to month, so the amount that I paid should either be applied to the carpet replacement (that definitely does not cost that much for less than 1000sq ft) or reimbursed to me. Unfortunately, the property management company will not get in contact with me, and any attempts I make to contact them are just routed back to the office of the property I occupied, who I have already spoken with and have been unable to help me. Because of this, I would not recommend this property, not until there is new management or better communication and less deception.

The Property's Problem

The property was once a clean environment. Now the tenants are spray painting the sidewalk, leaving trash in the stairways, and damaging the gate. What happened to the Courtesy Officer? Whoever own this property is clearly not concerned about the tenants.
