I love my little place and the office staff is great!! They were very helpful with my moving in and with all my paperwork .I’d recommend this apartment complex to others.

The Mgmt team doesn’t like their tenants

Simply put, the behavior I have observed is that the property mgt leadership resents the tenant population. This is a very Fred Trump style relationship which leads to the staff having a difficult time with the population by inheritance even if they don’t carry the same sentiment. The defense of this behavior is the property condition and the market rates charged. The leadership is expecting a certain level of customer with low expectations and then pitching towards those low expectations in an overall metaphorical race to the bottom. I represented an exception to that typical customer base being a high income earner seeking temporary housing for a transitional period of 4 months, however the same level of service was delivered irrespective of my status. Anecdotal examples of this are everywhere but here are a few: (1) Trash Policy. There’s a gate constructed in front of the dumpster which was communicated as protection from illegal dumping by non residents. But that’s inconsistent with where the gate is located. If that’s true, then a gate could be constructed at the front entrance that would protect the residents and the dumpster both, but that’s not done. Rather the gate is protecting the dumpster from the residents, thus protecting the property mgt from their residents. (2) The valet trash pickup occurs during dinner time for residents. It’s rare residents will set out their one garage can outside their unit during dinner time. That’s super inconvenient, it could be adjusted but that would likely cause change for the property mgt team and that’s a non starter. (3) Copies of the leases are not provided to renters. I question the legality of this having had 4 actively managed individual properties of my own. My request for a copy of my signed lease was directly rebuffed by the office staff. (4) Maintenance requests were outright rejected by the staff as tenant responsibility. Changing of locks or being locked out should not be tenant accountability.

Review

Place at Midway is a nice quiet little neighborhood. The complex is under new management and the staff has been helpful throughout the whole move-in process. The building are a little older, but they aren't bad (and I haven't seen a single bug!) and there are updates being made currently. So far pleased with me experience here!
