Great building with friendly staff and amenities

This is my first year living in Glover House and so far I am really enjoying it. The concierge and maintenance staff are so attentive and do an incredible job at creating a welcoming community and responding to tenants needs. The appliances in each apartment are brand new and work very well and the furnishings are lovely. The amenities such as the gym, courtyard, game room, and rooftop with pool are a major bonus because they provide extra spaces to go to when I want to get out of the apartment without going too far. The biggest downside to the building living in the courtyard building is the lack of insulation. Luckily our neighbors on either side are not loud however we can usually hear the people above us walking or kids running. Other than that the building is in a great location and has Trader Joes right next door for quick groceries!

Poorly Built Building

I want to start by saying I chose to live her because of the location and have chosen to stay here because it remains the best option for the area for me and my circumstances. That being said, we have had significant issues with the quality of the construction of the courtyard building. The owners clearly decided to use the cheapest possible materials when building this section of the building because the ceiling has deep cracks running all along it (we moved in about six months after the building was completed) and the walls are paper thin. Additionally, the windows are very poorly insulated. For the price of the unit, we were hoping for at least a structurally sound, well built building. Additionally, we have had pretty significant issues with noise from our upstairs neighbors. We hear thumping and running at all hours of the night and day and vacuuming pretty much constantly throughout the day. Additionally, when bringing these concerns to management, the response is usually something along the lines of "well that's what happens when you live in an apartment building." They have done nothing to help ameliorate the noise situation and began hanging up on us when we would call to complain. Overall, the building is poorly built and the management is subpar. If you can live somewhere else, I would highly recommend you consider it.
