So far so good!!

I've been living here for a couple of months now and I really like it. Prior to Covid-19, it was great to be within walking distance of work and the gym. But even now, it's super quiet most of the time (minus the construction and sirens every once in a while), clean and the concierge staff are all super friendly and helpful. The building is safe, the apartments are clean, and the maintenance staff is super helpful. The only thing I dislike is the parking, however the above parking lot is currently under construction so it's understandable. The underground parking lot is extremely creepy though, reminds me of a scene from a horror movie LOL! If Freddy Kreuger or the Boogeyman were real they'd definitely would be hiding out down there, so hopefully they upgrade that garage too! Otherwise, no complaints I really like living here! :)

Basically living at a construction site

I had the pleasure of living at Element 250 (or, as I once knew it, "250 Main) when they were completely renovating the whole place. I'll admit that some of the renovations looked good. They replaced the carpets in the halls, repainted the walls, added new lighting and furniture, and redid the lobby area. However, it seemed like as soon as I moved in, there's been nonstop construction going on. As soon as one thing was finished, another thing started up, and they would always be inconvenient to me as a tenant. The elevators are absolutely atrocious - there was only one working at all times, and sometimes there were none. One of the biggest headaches was the construction on the upper parking lot. The parking lot and the parking garage leave a lot to be desired, and they started construction on a large portion of the upper lot last summer. This involved very loud jackhammers for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. As someone who lives on the second floor, it was almost unbearable. Not only was it loud, but it was so close by that I could feel the ground shaking. Getting sleep was out of the question, and as someone who works late-night shifts, it's VERY frustrating to be woken up at 7am by jackhammers right outside your window. They stopped this construction over the winter, but during March, they've resumed it. Of course, that's when the coronavirus quarantine started, so I'm stranded here, listening to the drone of the jackhammers all day when I'm trying to get work done. I don't even have the option to leave anymore. I know that this construction needs to get done, but I can't be expected to pay full price for this. I've complained several times, only to be met with a half-hearted apology. When I moved in here, I had no idea that they would be redoing the whole place. If I knew, I wouldn't have moved in. I'm sure it'll all look nice when it's finished, but for the two years I've spent living here (I'll be moving out in June), it's been a nightmare.

250 Main is located perfectly. The garage needs work it is under repair and drips an oily acidic substance on your vehicle in order to get your car clean again, Car detailing over the last year has been $200. The ninth floor where I live is clean and quiet although the fire alarm goes off throughout the building a few times per month. The staff are friendly and helpful.
