One Man Journey

I've been a resident of Parkland Square Apartments for over 9 years. One thing I enjoy a lot that would seem obvious is sharing what I know about the "old" community near Belleview Ave and Broadway (e.g., when "The Hive on Broadway" was just a location of "KMart," when "Starbucks" at Belleview Ave & Broadway was a "McDonald's," or when certain local business names like Del Taco or Vectra Bank didn't even exist). As far as anything that involves having a car/truck is concerned, I'm probably your last recommended source of input, since I never really had a car/truck myself (i.e., I only traveled by foot or the public transit system). But I can still tell you about how quiet and antisocial -- even long before the pandemic started -- that the community has been all these years. So don't expect anyone in this community to ever break ice with you in a respectful manner if they were to socially come out of hiding as a resident here in the first place. I've called it a "One Man Journey" for someone who's learned about maintaining the peace that comes with living the " long-term social silence."

Various things

A couple grills, at least those charcoal kind that the parks have would be much appreciated. With only one small AC unit in each apartment, being able to grill some foods in the summer would be nice. Also enforcement for people to pick up their dogs poop would be cool, cuz people are always leaving it around in the landscape rocks... Particularly right around the picnic table, which is especially gross. Parking enforcement limiting 2 cars would be cool too. Many days of you get home after 8 or so there are no spaces except the sketchy end. Maybe numbering so everyone gets at least one spot up closish to the building? The lights on the back got fixed to LEDs, but the timer is wrong and they don't turn on until almost 11 at night.
