Awesome environment, management is good.

I do not have any complaints about living in the Geraldine so far. Very comfortable and nice looking apartment, even though it has a kind of old aesthetic to it. Management is very proactive with solving any issues that arrise, and are a quick phone call away. Located near a lot of different bars and stores which is a huge bonus, with a few parks nearby. Overall very satisified with my experience.

Cute but has its quirks

I love my apartment, but getting almost any help or answer from the leasing office is near impossible. It took me complaining about the sound the pipes were making for over a year before anything was done. My water has been shut off on extremely short notice at least 4 times in the last 2 months. I had over 700$ worth of mail stolen from my lobby with nothing done, even though it was inside a secure door. They said they would look into installing a camera but never did. I don’t think they even came to look. My rent went up $150 when i resigned my lease, i don’t think my apartment is necessarily worth it. I’ve made the best of my space, but the building is extremely old and it shows

Going on my Third Year

I generally find the place a decent deal, and I love the neighborhood and how walkable it is to Cheesman Park, Ideal Market, the post office, the wine & liquor store, and it's only a few blocks away from beautiful, historic homes. I love that! It gets hot in the summer, even with a window AC, but I guess that means I spend a little more time at the office (my boss doesn't mind). People are quiet and respectful. The only maintenance issue I had was when I first moved in, it took them WEEKS to get me a new oven when I told them the one in the unit didn't work. AND I had to badger them for a hot plate so I could cook. Other than that, I haven't had many maintenance issues, so I can't speak to them about that. But I haven't had other larger, building issues.

Adequate Housing

Apartment is in okay condition when moving in but there some water damage under the radiator and the toilet was cracked upon moving in. Also this apartment was built in like the 50s/60s when everyone was 4 week tall so if you're a tall person (I'm 6"2), I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Worst Maintenance Ever

I live in the basement here at the Geraldine apartments. Within my first 5 months living here I had 3 incidents with leaking pipes from apartments above mine. The maintenance team fixed the leaking pipes almost immediately, but the damage that was created from these leaks took about 4 months to get to. The staff is super friendly and mean well, but the maintenance team here just seems really poorly managed.
