Decent Apartments for Price

I have had a mostly positive experience with my time staying at the Yellow House. The location is great and close to downtown.

Old house, zero charm

The walls are paper thin. You can hear entire conversations crystal clear. I can even hear snoring. The noise from The Squire bar on colfax goes way past 11 some nights and the base is definitely noticable. In my room two of the windows didnt open. And the other two had to be propped open or they would slam shut. There were no screens. There were also no working locks on the windows.

Terrible place to live

The walls are paper thin and you can hear everythig happening in the building including full conversations, other people’s music through the vents, and footstep sound like banging when walking around. The windows are falling apart (when they open at all) and dont keep any of the noise out which is a problem since there is a bar down the street. I told maintenence about how two windows didnt open, someone came, made holes in the window sill trying to lever it open with a screw driver, didnt fix anything and then never came back. I made the maintence request again and no one responded. They dont recycle even though there are few enough people in the building it would be possible.
