The Lodge - could be worse, could be better

This complex has the possibility to be a great place to live, if it weren't for the complete lack of organization and functionality. Every month my fees are different amounts, despite constantly pointing these errors out to the office staff. Maintenance doesn't always follow protocol, which leads to miscommunications and, if you're the resident, keep well documented accounts of every maintenance issue to avoid being told it's your fault and being held liable. All issues considered, I have enjoyed living here because it is close to campus and in a nice part of town. However, I do not believe the rate reflects the quality of living. I had a similar apartment in Colorado Springs that was twice the size, double the quality, for half the price. I would consider staying here longer if the price was reduced. It's a nice sized space for one person, but the unit I am in is definitely too small to be marketed as a space for two people. My room doesn't even have a window. The staff can be very accommodating; they have always tried their best to help me with my issues (granted they also caused them, but still, an effort was made). However, they are completely unorganized and do not seem to communicate with one another; nobody really knows what is going on. I definitely think this property has a lot it needs to improve on. I could go on about all that is wrong, but if you are actually considering this property, then come see for yourself. You be the judge if this is the space for you or not. I personally don't like feeling like my apartment is a prison cell, so I would not recommend it to anyone who needs natural light.

Review

When I'm already paying >$1500, parking should be included. No real amenities to speak of except an outdoor pool closed most of the year. Other than that nice place with acceptable prices.

Good place to live!

The new renovations are beautiful and clean, but due to the recent renovations some things were not done properly and maintenance requests had to be placed. There is ample parking in the parking lot, but it is cluttered with pot holes and they haven't been fixed properly so they quickly reform. Trash cans were recently removed from public areas so there is often trash left around by tenants. Living in a college city, there is some noise as expected, but the walls are thick enough that it is difficult to hear your neighbor! The staff is kind and helpful and quick to respond as is the maintenance staff. I love living here!
